Karim's Cobbler Shop & Deli

This mom-and-pop shop has been serving the downtown area for 25 years. It’s a place more concerned with what’s on the plate than what the plate looks like. You can get everything from BBQ chicken sandwiches to salads served on a paper plate. But what makes this place a Phoenix staple is the cobbler: You can find many D-Backs fans here after a game choosing from peach, apple, blueberry, blackberry and cherry cobbler. (The peach cobbler is the most widely acclaimed.) And if you want to get in on one of Karim’s little secrets, try the homemade fried catfish.
