Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center

The Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center is out to make history by creating the first Latino cultural center in Phoenix. A year ago, the ALAC opened Galeria 147, which features the works of Latino artists curated by the ALAC Visual Arts Committee, comprising veteran artists and art educators who select the pieces for display. There are also three ancillary art spaces and a vibrant “La Tiendita” (gift shop) to enjoy. The venue isn’t mainstream yet but has the potential to be.
